How to breed Pals
Build a Breeding Farm at your base and assign two compatible Pals, one male and one female. Put Cake in the farm’s storage so breeding can progress. When the pair finishes, collect the egg and place it in an incubator.
Palworld 1.0 includes several Cakes with different effects. The standard choice is enough when you only need the normal breeding result. Mushroom Cake makes higher stats more likely, Vegetable Cake produces two eggs, Deluxe Vegetable Cake raises the chance of mutations and stat growth, and Special Cake improves the chance of inheriting several passive skills.
The calculator tells you which offspring the selected parents can produce. It does not simulate incubation time, passive-skill inheritance, individual values, or a Mutation probability.
Check what two Pals will produce
Open Breed two Pals and select Parent 1 from the Paldeck. The next Pal you click fills Parent 2. If both selections resolve to a known record, the result appears immediately. Use the Paldeck search when you prefer typing.
Select the parents’ genders before copying a special combination. The calculator checks the pair in both orders, but it keeps explicit male and female requirements. If no result appears, confirm the spelling, variant form, and genders.
Use Swap parents when you want the visual order to match your in-game setup. It will also swap the two gender selections.
Breed a specific Pal
When the offspring matters more than the parents, switch to Find parent pairs. Search the target by name or Paldeck number, or click it in the Paldeck. The calculator lists the parent pairs found in the current data.
Start with Pals already in your Palbox. If several pairs are practical, compare their genders and forms before choosing. The complete combinations table is useful when a target has many possibilities and you want to search within the wider data.
Gender-specific combinations
Most combinations are not sensitive to which parent is male or female. Special rows are different. A pair may require Parent A to be female and Parent B to be male, while the opposite setup produces another Pal.
Katress and Wixen are a useful check: Katress ♀ + Wixen ♂ gives Katress Ignis, while Katress ♂ + Wixen ♀ gives Wixen Noct. If your in-game egg does not match an expected special result, gender is the first detail to verify.
If a result looks wrong
Check four things: the exact parent names, whether either parent is a variant form, both genders, and the game version used by the guide you followed. Palworld 1.0 added new Pals and rebalanced many systems, so a screenshot or spreadsheet from an older build may no longer match.

Do I need Cake to breed Pals?
Yes. Put a suitable Cake in the Breeding Farm storage so the assigned pair can produce an egg.
Do both parents need a specific gender?
Breeding uses one male and one female. Some result rows also require a particular Pal to be the male or female parent.
Can I work backwards from the Pal I want?
Yes. Use Find parent pairs on the calculator and select your target Pal.
Does the calculator predict Mutation?
No. Palworld 1.0 describes Mutation as a low-chance breeding event but does not publish a numeric rate for this calculator to use.
